The golf outing, a shotgun, four-ball, best-ball event, will be held on June 14 at the beautiful Shorehaven Club in Norwalk and celebrates the 100th anniversary of Catholic Charities in the United States. “We look forward to supporting this golf outing each year and teaming up with Catholic Charities to support their great programs in Fairfield County, including the Senior Nutrition Program and the Room To Grow preschool,” said Brad Morse, Aetna vice president, Sales and Service, New England Markets. “Aetna staff will be on hand volunteering at the event and we hope the course will be filled with supporters so we can exceed our fundraising goal of $80,000 this year.” Sign-ups for the golf outing have begun and interested golfers can contact Rosie Vite at Catholic Charities at 203-416-1503 or rvite@ccfc-ct.org to sign up. Registration for individuals is $400 and $1600 for a foursome. The day will begin with golfer registration at 10:30, followed by lunch at 11 and a noon shotgun. Golfers will enjoy on course events, including the chance to win a hole-in-one car from Colonial Toyota, along with refreshments and other libations. From 5 to 7 p.m., a cocktail and multi-station buffet reception will be held. Tickets to attend the reception are available for $125.00. “As Catholic Charities celebrates its 100th anniversary nationwide, the Fairfield County Chapter is proud to continue its work as a nonsecular human services organization helping many needy children, families and elderly right here in Fairfield County,” said Al Barber, president of Catholic Charities of Fairfield County. “We serve well over one million meals annually, provide support services to help families transition off welfare, and work to serve the needy in many other ways as well. This golf outing is a fun event that allows those of us who are more fortunate to give back to the community in an effective way.” About Aetna About Catholic Charities |
